Terms of
Business
1.
Please state clearly your full postal address, telephone
number, fax number and e-mail address where
possible.
2.
Prices are subject to VAT (VAT is 15%).
3.
Payment becomes due, net at 30 days from invoice date.
Accounts not settled within this period will be subject
to a credit charge of 5% for payment after three months. We
are now able to accept credit and debit
cards.
4.
We offer either of the following discounts for payment
within 30 days of the invoice date, however this does
not apply if other discounts have been agreed e.g. special
clearance rates for end of season items.

2.5% on goods delivered
(b)
5% on goods collected from the nursery
VAT
strictly NET.
5.
All orders delivered by our transport or via a carrier
may now be subject to a carriage/packing charge for
which an estimate can be made with quotes. N.B. This is a change
from our previous terms and is necessitated by rising
fuel/transport costs.
6.
We would appreciate three or more days notice where
possible for collection of orders from the nursery. We
generally give one week’s notice of a delivery date.
7.
When ordering please state whether you would like a
delivery or whether you will be making a collection,
which month you would prefer delivery (between October and
April), whether you have a preference of open grown
plants or pot grown plants and lastly whether substitutes are
acceptable or not acceptable. This will help us when
entering your order on our system.
8.
No order is too small for our attention but, due to the
size of the nursery, those orders under ten of any
variety will be subject to a charge of 45p per plant.
9.
Individual labels are available upon request at 8p each.
This label would not necessarily be a coloured label as
we find our plants are unusual types and a coloured label is
sometimes hard to find for the more unusual variety. The
individual label would be supplied separate from the plant unless
otherwise informed by the customer.
10.
Both our open grown and pot grown orders are generally
lifted and delivered or made ready for collection
between the months October and April. However, we can offer
pot grown varieties all year round – subject to
availability. Wherever possible we do reduce the price of
the plants towards the end of our season.
11.
We would be grateful if all orders from new customers be
accompanied by cash or trade reference and bankers name.

12.
We reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the value on
cancelled orders.
13.
We can provide special quotations for export orders. VAT
will be charged if proof of shipment is not received
within 30 days of the invoice date.
14.
Generally quotations are valid for one month unless
otherwise stated.
15. Please
ensure any complaints are made within SEVEN DAYS of
despatch of the order, wherever
possible.
